How do I transfer the remaining balance from my bpaid card to my Nickel account?
If you previously had a bpaid card and have now switched to Nickel, there are several ways to transfer the remaining balance from your bpaid card to your new Nickel account. You will first need a Nickel account. If you haven't opened one yet, you can follow the steps in this article.
Once your Nickel account is open and activated, there are four different options to transfer your money to your current Nickel account:
In a Post Office
Go to a post office to request a transfer from your bpaid card to your Nickel account. You can find your Nickel account's IBAN in your online customer area or app.
Via a payment
Spend the remaining balance: Your bpaid card remains operational until 28/02/2026 with the remaining balance. You can make payments in stores or online.
Via a cash withdrawal
Make a cash withdrawal with your bpaid card at any ATM. This transaction costs €5 + 1% of the amount withdrawn within the SEPA zone.
You will then have the remaining amount in cash. You can then deposit it back into your Nickel account at a Nickel Point (including Post Offices) if you wish.
A fee of 3% of the deposited amount will be charged for this deposit (but it is free with a Nickel Metal card).
Directly via the Nickel App
You can also transfer the money from your bpaid card directly your Nickel account through your Nickel Customer area. Here's how to do it:
- Go to your Nickel App or online customer area.
 - Go to the "transactions" tab and then click on "Deposit money into my account" in the top right corner.
 - Then click on "by credit card" and follow the procedure.
 - The cost of this transaction is 2% of the transferred amount.
 - There you go, your money has been transferred to your new Nickel account!
