How to make an international money transfer with RIA and how much does it cost?
Nickel has teamed up with Ria and Moni to offer you the possibility of transferring money internationally, directly from your Nickel Application or web Customer Area! You can benefit from the large Ria network!
The money transfer feature with Ria is not available for Nickel Pro accounts.
How to make a Ria transfer?
Before you begin, please ensure you have activated the Ria service. If you haven't already, you will be prompted to do so directly from the app or your web client area before you can make a transfer.
From the Nickel App:
- Go to "Transactions"
- Then to "Ria Transfer"
- Click on "Make my first free transfer" or "New Transfer" and follow the instructions.
You'll just have to choose between sending cash, making a bank transfer, or sending money directly to your recipient's digital wallet.
- Sending cash:
At the end of the transaction, a PIN code will be displayed on the screen. This is a unique identification number that secures your transfer. It will also be sent to you by email.
Share it with your recipient. They can then withdraw the cash at the Ria location of their choice by presenting the code and their ID.
If your recipient has not collected the money sent within 30 days, your transfer will be automatically canceled. You will be credited with the amount of the transfer as well as the amount of the commission associated with this transfer.

- Wire transfer:
As soon as the amount is validated, the money will be available in the beneficiary's account under 1 to 2 working days.
- Sending money to a Mobile Wallet:
When choosing your desired sending method, select "Mobile Wallet".
Fill in your recipient's details (first name, last name, phone number) and select their mobile wallet. Simple and secure, your recipient will receive your transfer in just a few seconds.
How much does it cost to transfer money with Ria?
The total cost of a money transfer with Ria consists of three main elements:
1. The amount you wish to send
2. The exchange rate applied
3. The service fees
These service fees, as well as the exchange rate, may vary depending on the country to which you are sending money and the sending method (cash pickup, bank transfer, mobile wallet).
What minimum and maximum amounts can I send with Ria?
Each month, you can send up to €1,500.
The mandatory minimum amount is €5 per transfer.
Your Ria code is the code you set when you first logged in to Ria.
