What is a transaction in process?
Most of your transactions are debited immediately from your account.
However, it may happen that a merchant sends a request for pre-authorization of a direct debit.
These transactions appear on your account with a "clock" icon.
The merchant has 8 days to confirm the transaction. The amount will then be debited from your account, and the "in process" icon will disappear.
Once this period has elapsed, and without any response from the merchant, the transaction is automatically cancelled and your balance re-credited.
The amount of a transaction being processed may differ from the actual amount of your transaction.
For example, when you fill up with petrol, the station may pre-debit an amount higher than the amount actually due. The amount will then be adjusted to the actual amount within 8 days.
If, after the 8-day period, the transaction still appears on your account, it has been confirmed by the merchant. If you dispute the transaction after 8 days, it's a commercial dispute.
