When and how to validate a payment on the internet?
In order to strengthen the security of your account and protect you against fraud, you may be asked for payment confirmation when you make purchases on the internet.
What transactions are affected?
If you make a payment online with a merchant whose bank is located in Europe, you will be asked for confirmation:
- for any purchase from 30€
- every 100€ of purchases
How do I confirm a payment?
- Pay for your purchases as usual
- Log in to your web Customer Area or Nickel Application: a validation screen automatically appears upon connection
- Validate or cancel the payment within 5 minutes of purchase
If you do not use your Customer Area or Nickel Application, payment validation will be done by sending a 6-character code sent by SMS.
