How do I activate my Nickel card?
You have collected your Nickel Classic card from a Nickel point of sale:
Your card is already activated. You can use it immediately.
You have received your card at home?
You can activate your My Nickel, Nickel Chrome or Nickel Metal card as soon as you receive it.
- Connect to your web customer space or Nickel Application
- Click on the “Card” tab then “I activate my card”
- Enter your 10-digit identifier located on the back of your new card then click on “Validate
- If you are on the web, enter your 6-digit access code again
- Enter the security code received by SMS then click on “Validate”
Your card is activated ✔️ !
Please note that for Youth Accounts, activation is carried out via the Customer Area of the legal representative.
What should I do with my old Nickel card?
If you already had a Nickel card, once your new card has been activated, destroy the old one to prevent fraudulent use. Because even if we deactivate your old card, the personal data stored on the chip can easily be hijacked and misused. So we recommend that you cut up the card and chip into several pieces, then dispose of the pieces in different garbage cans.
Si vous aviez déjà une carte Nickel, une fois votre nouvelle carte activée, détruisez l’ancienne carte afin d’en éviter toute utilisation frauduleuse. Car même si nous désactivons votre ancienne carte, les données personnelles enregistrées dans la puce peuvent être facilement détournées et utilisées à mauvais escient. Alors on vous conseille de découper la carte et la puce en plusieurs morceaux, puis de jeter les morceaux dans différentes poubelles.
