What are the charges for payments and cash withdrawals abroad?
Can I use my Nickel card abroad?
Your Nickel card is accepted in 36 million outlets of the Mastercard network worldwide.
Nickel only charges transaction fees, but no foreign exchange fees or local bank charges. In some cases, however, the foreign merchant's bank may charge a commission.
What are the fees for payments and withdrawals abroad?
The transaction fees are as follows:
For payments:
In the euro area (eurozone extended to Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City) | Nickel Standard / My Nickel: free Nickel Chrome: free Nickel Metal: free |
Outside the euro area | Nickel Standard / My Nickel: €1 Nickel Chrome: free Nickel Metal: free |
For cash withdrawals:
At a Nickel Point abroad (Portugal, France, Spain) | € 0.50 per cash withdrawal |
At an ATM in the euro area (eurozone extended to Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City) | Nickel Standard / My Nickel: €1 Nickel Chrome: €1 Nickel Metal : free |

We advise you to group your withdrawals and payments as much as possible to reduce transaction costs. 😉
- Make one large withdrawal rather than several small withdrawals.
- Make a joint payment instead of separate payments when you go out to dinner together (remember that transfers between Nickel accounts are free of charge).
For security reasons, if you connect to your Customer Area from abroad, a text message with a code will be sent to you automatically.
This code will allow you to validate your connection. Always remember to update your telephone number!
