Can I pay in instalments with my card?

Yes, it is possible to pay in instalments with your Nickel card.

However, it is up to the merchant whether or not to accept your payment in instalments.
 

How does payment in instalments work?

When a merchant accepts payment in instalments, there are 2 possible methods of payment:

• Some merchants issue a debit request for the first instalment, and at the same time issue a pre-authorization to debit the balance. The balance is then debited within a maximum of 8 days. 
• Some e-commerce sites (e.g. CDISCOUNT) issue a debit request for the first instalment at the time of online purchase, and a new request for the top-up amount at the time of shipment (which may take 2-3 days). The purchase may therefore be accepted initially, then refused on dispatch, as the top-up cannot be debited from your account. In this case, the first payment will be credited back to your account within 10 days.
